Zach + Lexie | 8.23.21 | Charleston Harbor Resort Proposal
I know this was over a year ago, but it was my first Charleston proposal after moving, so naturally I have to share it on the blog!! (Better late than never, right?!)
The first week of August in 2021, Aaron and I had just moved into our apartment in Charleston. Since we had JUST moved, I hadn’t started much advertising for my photography business. But just a few short weeks later, Lexie’s mom, Lana, reached out to me. She was help her soon to be son-in-law, Zach, plan a surprise proposal for Lexie. Zach and Lexie were planning on coming to Charleston for a short vacation, and Zach wanted to start the trip off with a proposal.
In order to keep the proposal a secret, I did most of the coordinating with Lana. Zach was afraid Lexie might see something on his phone and get suspicious. Zach knew he wanted to propose somewhere private, but also had to get Lexie there without it being too obvious. We decided on a plan that the two of them would go to dinner at one of the Charleston Harbor Resort restaurants and take a walk out onto the pier. There Zach would drop down on one knee and ask Lexie to marry him. It’s always a little trickier when the couple is from out of town, so I sent Zach some videos of the pier, showing him exactly where I would be and where he should propose.
The day of the proposal was absolutely beautiful and Zach was able to surprise Lexie with a ring!
